The last week of school is here! It is amazing how quickly this year has gone by. I am very proud of how far our class has come this year—both socially and academically. They will do very well in 2nd grade . . . they are ready!
In Your Monday Folders Today . . .
- Spring DIBELS scores (wow—huge gains in reading—please celebrate your child’s scores with him/her!).
- Your child’s 1st grade writing portfolio—or should I say I hope it’s still in the Monday folder. The kids are so excited for these my bet is they will be pulled out already!
- The 2nd Grade school supply list so you can bargain shop for supplies over the summer.
Grades
3rd trimester report cards will be mailed to you shortly after school lets out. It will say on your child’s report card (under the attendance section) who s/he will have as a 2nd grade teacher.
Bags with Handles
Thanks to all who sent in bags with handles last week (either paper bags or reusable shopping bags). We will be filling ‘em up on Thursday to haul home our many treasures from 1st grade. If you haven’t sent in a bag yet, please do by Thursday (labeled with your child’s name).
